The Patterdale Terrier, also known as the Patterdale Terrier, is native to the United Kingdom and originated in the 18th century. It was developed in the lakeside area of northern England by combining the Bedlington Terrier and the old British Bristle Terrier. Originally there were few branches, but it was grouped together in 1912.
