Wrasses

The lips are thick and have vertical folds on the inside. They mostly feed on molluscs, and their teeth are suitable for grinding shellfish. Body color is generally very bright. Male and female fish have different body colors, which are more obvious during the reproductive season. It includes more than 60 genera and about 500 species, which can be divided into subfamily Putiinae, Jinyu subfamily, Helminthinae, and Lamiinae.
1. Huang Zilong

As the fish matures, the yellow color fades to a beautiful pink color. Be aware when placed in a reef tank that it will eat lobsters and other similar invertebrates. An aquarium of 250 liters or more is required, with enough live rocks and a sandy bottom for them to hide and find food. If you like Jia Peng Yue, the tank should have a sealing cover. It eats caterpillars and cone snails, and can protect corals and clams. But they also eat wild shrimps, tubeworms and flatworms. However, corals will not be harmed. When they first enter the tank, use live brine shrimp to entice them to open their mouths. Feeding needs to be done in an orderly manner, such as live or frozen mysids, krill and other chopped animal foods.

Also known as blue-headed sea pig fish and yellow gill dragon, it is often scattered in the rocky areas of the Caribbean Sea. Blue body with bright yellow back. In the juvenile stage, the face is purple and the back is yellow. In adulthood, the purple turns to bright blue. It is a threat to corals, but it is suitable for keeping in a naked tank.Keep them in an aquarium with live rock above 600 liters and 4-6 cm of bottom sand for them to take shelter. It is very good at jumping, so the tank needs to be covered. When this fish is small, it acts as a cleaner fish and serves other fish at fixed cleaning stations. Food includes various animal baits, feed shrimps, frozen mysids, sea shrimps and high-quality flake foods.
3. Taiwan Dragon

Also called the Queen Dragon, it looks very similar to the Red Dragon. The appearance of juvenile fish and adult fish are very different. In the juvenile stage, the body is orange, with white tiger patterns on the back, stripes and black outer edges on each fin. In the adult stage, the female fish has a dark blue-green body with black spots, red areas on each fin, and bright blue diagonal stripes on the face; the male fish has a bright blue color with straight blue stripes and several green stripes on the face.Keep them in aquariums with a capacity of 500 liters or more, and provide them with 8-10 cm thick bottom sand for shelter. He is an excellent hunter and will turn over rocks one by one in search of food. Eat sea urchins, crabs, shrimps and small invertebrates. Food includes seafood, shrimp and mysid shrimp, live black worms, and flake food.

If you enter the tank at the same time or early, a small group of female fish can be mixed with a male fish. Double-printed dragons eat sea urchins, crab roes, shrimps and other small invertebrates. He is a great hunter and can turn over rocks to find food. Food includes a variety of seafood, sea or mysid shrimp, live sea worms and sliced food.
