3. Three types of face shapes of Persian cats

1. The primitive type is the long nose, which is the most primitive Persian cat. Almost like an Angora cat. Consider looking up some of the earliest photos of Persian cats. However, novices do not regard them as Persian cats. Modern Persians have the following two types.

2. Doll Face, also known as baby face. Jinjila (confirmed introduction) generally has this face shape. The tip of the nose is not in line with the eyes. However, looking back, the upper edge of the nose tip and the lower edge of the eyes of cats with this face shape are often in line.

3. PEKE Face, also known as Pekingese Face. It's the line between the two eyes and the tip of the nose.

Peke Face is harmful to the health of cats, causing difficulty in breathing. Therefore, some associations promote Doll Face Persian cats and prohibit Peke Face Persian cats. At the same time, the Pekingese face shape is also very popular. Pekingese faces are very similar to the actual standard of Persian cats such as Chinchillas.

Nowadays, the Pekingese-shaped Chinchilla Persian cat also appears, often the result of Chinchilla being mixed with other Persian cats. It turns out that cat owners don’t like Chinchilla mixing with other Persian cats. It seems that this match will lose the green color of ChinchillaEye.

Note: Some Cat Associations (CFA) classify Persian cats with short-haired parents or ancestors from other countries as long-haired cats from other countries, while some Cat Associations (TICA etc.) recognized that long-haired cats from other countries are Persian cats.
