Biden’s controversial anti-crypto checker candidate steps down

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in the United States will operate with only an interim comptroller for a bit longer after President Biden’s nominee Saule Omarova withdraws his candidacy from the confirmation process.

In response to Omarova’s withdrawal, President Biden noted Tuesday, “Willow was the victim of inappropriate personal attacks that were far beyond pallor.”
