City of York man killed in triple shooting identified

A 36-year-old man was killed and two other men were shot dead overnight in York, according to a police press release.

Victor Acosta-Delgado, 36, of East Maple Street in York City, died at WellSpan York Hospital around 12:45 a.m. Friday, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

York City Police responded to a shooting around 12:20 a.m. Friday on Parkway Boulevard and North George Street, where officers found three men with gunshot wounds, according to a press release from the department.

Police provided first aid until EMS took the three men to WellSpan York Hospital, where Acosta-Delgado was pronounced dead, the statement said. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

The other two men, aged 39 and 24, are expected to survive, the statement said.

“Like our community, our hearts break with every senseless tragedy,” Police Commissioner Michael Muldrow said on Friday. “But, we are not going to take the leap by getting bored, giving up, giving in or turning on ourselves. It took time to get to where we are, and it will take time to get past it. . “

Muldrow said the department would continue to focus its deterrence efforts, including building better relationships with the community, increasing patrols and precision checks, targeting sources of illegal weapons and advocating for innovations such as ‘a network of cameras throughout the city.

“(If) we keep pushing and pushing, we’re going to get our community where we all want it to be,” he said.

It is the latest in a series of shootings over the past two weeks in York.

The City of York saw three shootings on Tuesday which led to one arrest and police confiscated narcotics and firearms, including a loaded AK-47.

The gunfire occurred first in the 300 block of Irvin Road, then in the South Pine Street neighborhood and also on East Jackson Street, police said.

The City of York also saw two shootings on Monday night.

A 41-year-old was shot and killed at around 11:25 p.m. at a residence on the 300 block of Smyser Street in York, police said.

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed around 7:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Loucks Road, police said.
