Economic mission to Toronto – The Minister of Tourism goes to Toronto to invite Ontarians to discover the Quebec winter

QUEBEC, Dec 3 2021 / CNW Telbec / – Quebec Tourism Minister Caroline Proulx visited Toronto to December 2 and 3 at the head of a delegation made up of around twenty representatives of partners from the tourism industry. The main objectives of the mission were to promote the Quebec tourist destination among Ontarians and encourage them to visit the regions of Quebec this winter. Keep in mind that Ontario is the main market outside Quebec for Quebec tourism, with 4.3 million visitors per year.

The departmental mission enabled the members of the delegation to meet several tourism stakeholders, including several tour operators and influencers, as well as representatives of the media.

For the mission, the Alliance of the tourism industry of Quebec organized a day of activities for them so that Ontarians can discover or rediscover the exceptional and unique tourist offer of Quebec: Its winter activities, such as snowmobiling and tobogganing, its festivals and events, which continue to develop; and the wide range of attractions and accommodation, including the new Club Med Québec-Charlevoix.

It should be noted that the journeys of the participants in the mission were certified carbon neutral.
