Happy Dancing Turtle Hosts Spring Fair – Brainerd Dispatch

PINE RIVER — Family-friendly activities and sustainable living will be featured at the Happy Dancing Turtle Spring Fair on May 21.

This free event features more than 35 vendors and exhibitors, mini-workshops and outdoor family activities at Lakes Music and Events Park in Pine River.

New information will be offered during the following mini-workshops:

  • 11:00 am: Design of a rain garden with native plants,
  • Noon: Strengthen soil health in your field or garden,
  • 1 p.m.: Demonstration of the rain simulator,
  • 2 p.m. The importance of outdoor play.

At 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m., join Happy Dancing Turtle celebrity readers for a nature-themed book and craft. Also, special guests include Soulful Horse, Wondertrek Children’s Museum, and Happy Dancing Turtle’s “turtle” mascot. The Babinski Foundation will organize an adoption event at the Salon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fair will be free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with food available onsite for purchase.

“We are fortunate to have many favorite Back to Basics vendors and exhibitors joining us, as well as some exciting new ones. The programming of activities and workshops is exceptional,” said Quinn Swanson, Executive Director of Happy Dancing Turtle, in a press release. “We anticipate that being outdoors at Lakes Music and Events Park will bring even more energy to this event.”
