NSE and Chhattisgarh government sign MoU to fuel SME growth in the state – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News

India’s main stock exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) and the Government of Chhattisgarh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to sensitize MSMEs in the state to raise funds through the IPO mechanism using the NSE – Emerge SME Platform .

The MoU was exchanged between Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh and Ms. Rachana Bhusari, Vice President and Head of Primary Market, NSE, today in Raipur. Under the agreement, NSE with the support of the Chhattisgarh government will carry out an awareness campaign through seminars, MSME camps, knowledge sessions, roadshows, workshops to guide businesses across the state for fundraising on the NSE Emerge platform and also keep companies in the registration process.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua, Principal Secretary, Department of Trade and Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh said, “Under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Government of Chhattisgarh is committed to supporting the sector MSMEs in his state. We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Stock Exchange of India to help the MSME sector access the capital market. Through the NSE Emerge platform, MSMEs in the state could showcase themselves on a global platform and attract broader capital investment opportunities. We will jointly organize outreach sessions in each neighborhood to educate our fellow entrepreneurs on the roadmap to accessing capital markets and going public.

Ms. Rachana Bhusari, Vice President and Head of Primary Market, NSE, said, “The National Stock Exchange and the Government of Chhattisgarh have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate and support MSMEs in the state to access capital markets. through the NSE Emerge platform. NSE Emerge enables SMEs to access the stock market and raise capital efficiently. With the support of the government, we will organize sensitization sessions in different districts of the state and accompany MSMEs throughout the registration process. We urge MSMEs across the state to come forward and access new sources of finance through the equity market and register on NSE Emerge.

To date, the NSE Emerge SME platform has 241 listed companies from various sectors. The total funds raised on the platform till date is approx. INR 3683.21 Cr.
