ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan stressed on Saturday the need to use digital media tools to portray the positive image of Pakistan and Islam, as well as spread the voice of the oppressed of Indian Kashmir around the world.

During a meeting with a delegation of young people from different fields, including digital media, the prime minister recalled his government’s initiatives for young people, including easy loans and training programs, in addition to the Ehsaas Program against poverty and houses of shelter for the poor.

Special assistant to the prime minister Zulfiqar Bukhari and the prime minister’s focal person for digital media, Dr. Arsalan Khalid, also attended the meeting, according to a press release from the prime minister’s office.

The meeting discussed national challenges, government measures to address the problems, and the role of the media, particularly social media, in the modern age.

The participants also discussed the opportunities for young people in the digital media sector, the associated challenges and their resolution.

Speaking to the delegation, Khan said that the country had emerged from the most difficult economic situation with a reduced fiscal deficit and a revival of investor confidence.

He said that after 1960 it was the incumbent government that had prioritized the industrial sector that would create job opportunities and grow the national economy.

The Prime Minister reiterated his determination to continue his fight against corruption and mafias to the last extreme.

He said that digital media could effectively highlight Pakistan’s immense potential in the tourism sector.

Khan said that Pakistan had also faced numerous challenges on the international front, but had always wanted peace and was now playing a role in this regard as well.

Discussing his government’s strategy and initiatives regarding the growth of digital media, the prime minister said that the medium had become the most effective communication tool in this technological age. Even due to the rapid growth of digital media, the flow of information knew no borders, he added.

The prime minister said that young people, who had some knowledge and political acumen, were becoming active in digital media and called for using the medium to highlight the positive image of Pakistan, Islam and the Muslim world, as well as promote Muslim brotherhood.

Khan told the delegation that Pakistan’s Tehreek-i-Insaf and his government would celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, as the fascist Modi regime was risking regional peace and security to realize its dream of turning India into a Hindu Rashtra (nation). ). India’s oppression of the innocent people of Kashmir and the amendment of the citizenship law were also attempts to fulfill racist designs, he added.

The prime minister urged the youth to realize to the world their obligation to resolve the Kashmir issue in light of the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

In his message to young people, Mr. Khan advised them to work hard as it was the only key to success.
