Chapter Xi of Alpha Delta Kappa will meet on Tuesday

Alpha Delta Kappa’s Xi Chapter will meet at noon on Tuesday, June 14 at the Baia Della Restaurant for their scholarship luncheon.
Special guests will be Marie Gibbons, former president of Minnesota Alpha Delta Kappa, and scholarship recipient Kori Converse.
June’s altruism projects are the Chapter Fellowship and Longest Day, Alzheimer’s Association.

Disabled American veterans will meet on Thursday

The monthly meeting of Crow County Wing Chapter #22 of American Veterans with Disabilities will be held Thursday, June 16 at 7 p.m. The Chapter 22 officers’ meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

The Brainerd Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14 at 309 S. Sixth St. in downtown Brainerd.

Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary to serve breakfast

HACKENSACK – Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 202 will serve breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 19 at the Club.

The menu includes a choice of pancakes, bacon and eggs or eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Both include juice and coffee for $8. Profits are used to support scholarships for young people.

Alpha Chapter No. 23 OES will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 13.

They will honor 50-year-old members.

NISSWA — The Nisswa Women’s Club will meet Thursday, June 16 at the Nisswa Community Center.

Sherri DeLaHunt and Laurel Hall will be guest speakers showcasing the many ways the Brainerd Public Library benefits the community as well as ways to support their work.

Social time is at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is at noon. The charge for lunch is $25.

President Ann Swanson will lead a short meeting after the program and Elaine Bercher will deliver an inspirational message.

The senior dances will take place from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at the Eagles Club with music by Frank and Fran; and 1-4 p.m. Friday, June 17 at the Deerwood Legion with music by Jerry B.
